Georgie Gardner and Alyssa McClelland celebrate Jan Logan

She's known as a celebrity jeweller, but on Wednesday night it was Jan Logan's time to sparkle.

Sydney's glitterati gathered at the event celebrating her 25 years in the industry.

The function at the newly refurbished Hotel Intercontinental at Double Bay looked similar to the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, with the designer's name emblazoned across a green grass wall.

The industry veteran wore a black knee-length dress with sheer sleeves, T-bar kitten heel shoes and was adorned in pearls.

Jan was joined by her son Angus Logan and brand ambassador Courtney Eaton, actress in the upcoming movies Gods of Egypt and Mad Max: Fury Road.

Sydney's stylish set turned out to support the silver-haired icon and added a little sparkle of their own.

Georgie Gardner channeled a sexy newsreader vibe in a sheer crocodile motif dress by Australian designers Ginger & Smart.

Got the memo? Sandra Sully also opted for the monochrome sexy newsreader look, matching Georgie's silver clutch and black peep-toe shoes.

The Delicate Predator dress, which features the sheer lace over a mini-dress slip, fell a little below the knee and was accessorised with a matching silver clutch and peep-toe black heels.

Similarly rival news host Sandra Sully also opted for a sexy look, wearing a black pleated mini-skirt above the knee along with a white top that featured exposed shoulders and sheer sleeves.

Sandra also carried a silver clutch and wore black peep-toe heels.

Marta Dusseldorp, also shone in her own right in a stunning white keyhole dress with a big slit up the front.

The A Place to Call Home actress wore black pointed-toe shoes to set off the dress and kept her blonde locks back to reveal her stunning turquoise drop earrings.

Former Home and Away star Alyssa McClelland continued the sheer trend, accentuating her choice by wearing a black bra underneath her over-sized silver paneled blouse.

The actress added a white pencil skirt to her outfit, along with black heels and a Louis Vuitton purse.

But Alyssa's boldest accessory was her bright red lips.

Australian designer Carla Zampatti rocked a black short sleeved jumpsuit with a faux plunging neckline down to the navel.

The fashion doyenne had a nude mesh panel across the middle but the illusion was that the 72-year-old was bearing her cleavage for the event.

The designer looked more like a rockstar, wearing a metal belt, chocker and sunglasses as she posed for photographers.
