Healthy Breakfast Ideas and Tips for Kids

It doesn't matter if it's back to school time, or the middle of the school year, you want to send your child off to school with a healthy breakfast. It's hard to make a good breakfast when morning routines are so hectic, but it's so important. Studies show that children who eat breakfast have better concentration during the school day than their peers. They also perform better on tests.

When children enter middle school, it's especially important that they have breakfast before school. Lunch may be hours away, and kids may have to face a battery of tests and other academic challenges throughout the day. Of course, many tweens say they don't want or need breakfast before school. While it's true that many children aren't hungry in the morning, it's also important for them to eat something before the school day begins. If your child tries to skip breakfast, offer a small portion breakfast, rather than a large, hot meal.

With that in mind, consider these 15 easy-to-assemble breakfast menu ideas for your growing tween.
