Koi Fish Tattoos
Here is a beautiful and classic depiction of a koi fish tattoo. According to popular belief, a famous Koi carp succeeded in realizing his dream of becoming a dragon by fighting the current upstream and making it to the famed Dragons Gate. Thats why you will see Koi fish tattoos designed with what appears to be two separate elements. On one side you will usually see the Koi fish tattoo and on the other side you will see a representation of a dragon. This is not by accident but by design. And at one point in time, Koi fish tattoos done in that way were pretty unique. But, now it appears that everyone has decided to do it that way. Kind of takes the novelty out of the whole concept. Thank goodness that the bearer of this tattoo didnt go that route. Instead they had a Koi fish tattoo inked that has a little style and flair. I especially like the orange color of this carp and the lifelike expression on its face. But, what I like the most is how they made the fish look like it was swimming through the persons skin and not through water. It gives the whole design a unique look. I just have to give kudos to the artist for making such an impressive work of art.

Many koi fish tattoos feature very colorful koi fish in them but this one is rather dull. It is well drawn and well executed but the coloring of it needs help. This koi fish tattoos needs a good artist who can jump in here and really color this thing up to make it exciting. And a good artist would do that well.
