The ROAD DEVILS is an U.S. based, pre '65 American Kustom Car and Truck club that was formed in '46 by soldiers that returned from WW II. Now, decades onwards, the ROAD DEVILS still keep the 'old style of the true poor boy rodding' alive, with Chapters across the U.S.A and around the globe, and growing in numbers. The ROAD DEVILS capture the true spirit of Roddin', and is for those that know about the sweat, grease, tools and hours on end in the shed to build their Kustom Rod, RatRod, Sled or Cruiser. In 2009, the Road Devils added the Devil's Brigade chapter to their club; a Military-only chapter who derived their name from the famed WW II Commando Unit, and has members coming from present Elite Fighting Forces such as the Rangers, USMC, and U.S. Army Special Forces. About half of its members are presently deployed, and whilst they are gone, their fellow Club members help out, looking after their Hot Rods and families.

A BAD-ASS RATROD CALLED 'THE BEAST'....
'THE BEAST' is one 'mean gasoline' Rat Rod, build, borrowed, 'stolen' and driven by David Strong from Shreveport U.S.A. David spent 8 months working on this incredible machine, that was assembled with $ 3150.00 in parts (not counting the parts that were 'borrowed' from a Dodge Motorhome), junk yard scrap, tins, a letterbox, a lot of blood, sweet & grease, and numerous cold beers for inspiration. The base of 'The Beast' comes from a '42 1.5 ton Ford truck, z-ed 24 in the rear and powered by a '78, 440 ci engine and 727 transmission that rolls the Rat on a massive set of tires, lifted from a Mack Truck. The Rod is finished in style with a 'custom' rust paint-job by Mother Nature, and the odd rattle can. THE BEAST' truly is one hell of a machine that puts the R back in Rat and Rod! Check it out.

THE 6th BRIGHTON TATTOO CONVENTION web: www.brightontattoo.com On the 16th and 17th of February, the BRIGHTON TATTOO CONVENTION returned with its 6th edition that saw another increase in popularity, visitors and Tattoo Artists. At its new location at the Hilton Brighton Metropole, the BRIGHTON TATTOO CONVENTION was host to well over 300 Tattoo Artists, traders and merchants from all over the world. For all the shopping needs there was a variety of stalls with Alternative and Vintage style clothing, Art, Jewellery, Books, Magazines and more. For the professionals in the Tattoo-Industry, the Convention installed a special Tattoo-suppliers room. Entertainment and events came in the shape of live music, various seminars, competitions, pre-and after show parties. A big thanks to organizer Woody and the convention team for making this another great, and successful Tattoo event. On to the 7th one! |

From 23 to 25 November, the International Brussels Tattoo Convention saw its 3rd edition, and again, they can look back at a successful, fun-filled event with a host of Artists, shows and activities. Well over 200 International Tattoo Artists displayed their skills, and in addition, the Convention was home to Independent Fashion shops, Tattoo publications, equipment merchants, Custom Cars, Bikes and Motorcycles and more. Over 3 days, entertainment came in the shape of live music, Tattoo-documentaries in the cinema, live Airbrush and Pinstriping, Best Tattoo contests, Lingerie Fashion shows, Burlesque and Fire-shows etc, announced by Tattoo model Femke Fatale. The crew of the IBTC managed to create a great event with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all that is Tattoo and more.

Cees van der Burght is an ex-Marine and Military man from Holland, who grew up during WWII. After the war, Cees joined The Marines in '51, and furthered his Military career as a Military Illustrator and drawer. Over the decades, Cees has reproduced war-scenes and related, most of which reflect his memories as a kid during the war which have been materialized and come to life captured in various materials, including solid wood, paper mache, canvas, oil and ink. His work holds hundreds of one-off items, including exact, 1:5 scale paper mache and wooden models, paintings, drawings, and maquettes. The 1:5 models are detailed to perfection, and weaponry is reproduced in exact scale using wood, metal and leather. Cees' work is unique and never before reproduced or researched and captured in such detail. It is exactly this and Cees' impressive knowledge of (Dutch) Military History that landed his work in Museums and local archives. The Feline MISS MEOW from Vancouver Canada, is an Alternative Fetish Model and Artist with a creative mind that finds its expression in her work, both as a model and artist. MISS MEOW presents most of the themes of a shoot herself, from the concept and make-up to the attributes and wardrobe. Although primarily a Fetish Model, MISS MEOW also does Fashion and Lifestyle shoots, Glamour, Pin-Up, Body Paint and is open to collaborate and share creative concepts with other artists in the field, including make-up artists, photographers, wardrobe stylists etc. As an artist, MISS MEOW concentrates on depicting fine, fancy femmes, inspired by Fashion Illustration, Tattoo Art and Pop Culture, mixing realism, surrealism, multimedia and graphic art. The Feline MISS MEOW from Vancouver Canada, is an Alternative Fetish Model and Artist with a creative mind that finds its expression in her work, both as a model and artist. MISS MEOW presents most of the themes of a shoot herself, from the concept and make-up to the attributes and wardrobe. Although primarily a Fetish Model, MISS MEOW also does Fashion and Lifestyle shoots, Glamour, Pin-Up, Body Paint and is open to collaborate and share creative concepts with other artists in the field, including make-up artists, photographers, wardrobe stylists etc. As an artist, MISS MEOW concentrates on depicting fine, fancy femmes, inspired by Fashion Illustration, Tattoo Art and Pop Culture, mixing realism, surrealism, multimedia and graphic art. MONSTERBIKE The biggest, most badass Bicycle in the world!
Big, bigger, biggest.... Check out the MONSTERBIKE created by Dutchman Wouter v.d. Bosch. His creation took YOUTUBE by storm, counting almost 4 million!! Hits and around 140.000 views per day in the first week after it had been uploaded. Not without reason, as Wouter's MONSTERBIKE is one impressive creation. Based upon the classic, Penny Farthing bicycle model that dates from the 2nd half of the 19th century, Wouter kept these characteristic features and super-sized it by fitting a huge, 250 KG tractor-tyre at the front, with a diameter of no less than 1.90 meter!! The frame and rear-wheels add another massive 100 KG to its weight. Wouter (who also happens to be an active Graffiti & Street-Artist) spent about 3 months assembling the bike, 2 weeks of which were needed to modify the rim; This wasn't as much as a task as it might seem; I used 2 regular 'Sturmy Archer' hubs, and made the spokes myself Wouter explains. The biggest challenge was to make the mid-axle, and a secondary chain-system to eliminate any possible bending of the frame. I had to make a few adjustments along the way to get that fixed, and working properly. 2.5 million views.... I never could have dreamed this! A week after I uploaded the video on YOUTUBE, I got swamped with emails and reactions, and the bike has appeared in publications and on websites worldwide in over 25 languages! Wouter will not further perfect the bike, but leave it as it is; There might be a 2nd model, EVEN BIGGER, with an engine and all, but that all depends on the availability of a workshop and the necessary equipment, both of which I do not have at my disposal at this moment, but I'm still idling regarding future plans... UK Rock'n'Roll magazine was created fifteen years ago by Rock'n'Roller Denis Knockton as a free-issue, A5, gig listing around the South Coast, called Southern Rock. As people clamoured for more info, Denis added editorial, made the publication a paid-for monthly affair, and eventually went to A4 size. Denis later sold the title, now called 'UK Rock', to John Howard, a professional journalist. John spent four years developing the content, quality and circulation of the mag before selling on again in 2009 to Johnny Hop. The magazine is now full-colour, has been re-branded as the more appropriate 'UK Rock'n'Roll Magazine' and is available in newsagents throughout the U.K and beyond, including Europe and as far as Moscow! UK ROCK'N'ROLL MAGAZINE covers everything from 50's Rock'n'Roll, Rockabilly, Western Swing,and Jump Blues to Vintage R&B, Psychobilly, and anything else with that 'rockin' vibe'. Each issue has features on live events, CD releases, fashion, cars, tattoos and many other subjects, and at least one interview with a major player in the rockin' scene. MANIC MOSH magazine had a chat with the creators of these amazing machines that first saw the light of day in 2003; We actually only built Choppers at first until 2007 when we built our first model of trike. V8 CHOPPERS is unique for the fact that they are the first manufacturer of choppers with V8 Motors in them. As far as we know we are the only company to manufacture 'V8 Choppers' in the entire world. Sure other people have built 'one-off' V8 bikes, but nothing to the level that we operate at. Our name actually originated from our very first potential customer when he walked up to our product and called it just that. Within 30 minutes of hearing the name we secured our internet domain and have never looked back. At present, V8 CHOPPERS has 3 models of Trikes and 1 model of Chopper, however, each Bike or Trike has at least 4 different motor options the customer can choose from and tons of options that can be added or subtracted to make the Bike or Trike individual to each customer; We have in the past completed special projects for customers, but we now spend most of our time filling orders of our basic models and customizing them to fit the client. Riding a V8 Chopper is an experience like no other; It usually only takes one ride on any of our products and our customers are sold on how well balanced and easy they are to ride. Rolling on a V8 is unlike anything in the world and is just way to much fun. The domestic market is their largest, but recently, there's been a lot of interest overseas for the V8 CHOPPER, and have actually sold a few into various countries. After a refined surface treatment it is getting prepared for the next steps in which the lacquer is applied and high-quality hardware and electronics by Seymour Duncan, Sperzel, ABM and Wilkinson are installed. The St. Peters Car Show or St. Peters Church Car Show is an annual car show held in Harold Wood, Essex (U.K.). The show is organised by members of the St. Peter's Church and recently had their 2nd event on Saturday, June 16th. The aim of the show is to enjoy the beauty of the cars on display, have fun, and to raise money for London's Air Ambulance. Host to cars of all sorts; Classic, Modern, Race and Sports, Vintage, Kit-Cars, American Cars, the 2012 show was another success in every respect, from the fund-raising (£5.800), visitors (over 3000), weather conditions and of course the cars. Some 200 cars of all different shapes and sizes, origin and make made it to the show; from American musclecars to Classic English and Iconic, such as the DMC DeLorean. The British cars were well represented with the Jaguar E-type, the Triumph Stag, Rolls Royce, Ford Cortina, and others, and the American cars saw classics such as the Pontiac G.T.O and Firebird Formula, Ford Thunderbirds, Chevrolet Malibu and Chevelle etc etc. Thumbs up for the St. Peter's Car Show for its initiative, cause, cars, friendly atmosphere, cheap food and admission.

Fred's musical backgound lies in the Blues. That was what he listened to as a kid, and that was also what he wanted to learn to play. That evolved into listening to The Shadows, Santana, The Dire Straits, Van Halen and buying 7 hit-chart singles of all sorts that featured a guitar solo, and trying to master it. In band-format, Fred played with ALL RISE, his first band, and after that THE INSTRUMENTAL SYNDICATE, and (for Fred personally) the most successful act XHAUSTED that landed a worldwide record-contract in 97. Fred's inspirational sources basically are all the great guitarists and musicians. In the guitar department, these are; Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Van Halen, Gary Moore, Django Reinhardt, Stochelo Rosenberg, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Greg Howe etc. Musically, my inspiration is drawn from Classical music (Bach, Albinoni), New Age music (Fred records and writes Yoga-music, released on CD), Dance, Word-Music; It don't really matter, as long as it sounds good Fred says. But, his prime, foremost inspirational source was and still is Yngwie Malmsteen; I do not listen to Yngwie as much as I did, but he sure has had the most I mpact on me, both as a guitarist and composer. The equipment I now use and am pleased with is my Fernandes Revolver Elite guitar and Koch Multitone amplifier. Besides all this, my Imac with Logic 9 is of major importance. KAM4MARS - GUITARIST
French guitarist KAM picked up the guitar some, 17 years ago, and played in several Rock and Metal bands ever since, including Tripod, Spin Ash Land. Some Stuff and others. Kam plays a variety of styles but preferably these are Metal, Rock, Jazz and Fusion. KAM's inspirational sources include Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Frank Gambale, greg Howe, Scott Henderson, Pat Metheny, Metallica, A Perfect Circle, Faith No More, Suicidal Tendencies, Rage Against The Machine, Pantera, Machine head, Sepultura, Meshuggah, Slayer and many more. At present, KAM is a teacher of guitar, bass and scratch in Marseille in 2 schools, but himself, he has never taken any lessons, he is all self taught! Although his work takes up all his free time, KAM still finds time to write songs, and he loves recording covers with his associate FAVOUILLE HD, resulting in a series of YOUTUBE uploads with KAM's versions of Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eddie Van Halen 'Beat It' solo ad-lib version and many more. DIAMOND DREAMER is a Dutch HardRock / Metal band initiated in 2010 by original, 1st generation PICTURE guitarist Jan Bechtum, and later PICTURE guitarist Rob van Enkhuizen, and was completed with the rhythm section of Nop Ton (drums) & Sander o.d. Kelder (bass), and singer Martin van der Meyde. DIAMOND DREAMER was named after the 3rd, same titled PICTURE album from 1982, an instant classic that got PICTURE world-wide recognition. Although the sound of DIAMOND DREAMER is not a PICTURE spin-off, it does have the early-mid 80's HardRock / Metal thing written all over, as evidenced by the mid-paced Metaler In Your Face, sporting a strong Dio / Sweet Savage flavour in both drive and guitar (sound) with the strong, vibrato-laden vocalage of Martin up there with the best, levelling with Graham Bonnet (MSG, Alcatrazz). Pretty much the same thing applies to the double bass-driven, mid-paced, and slightly anthem-like Desert Knights; a mid-paced number that takes you right back in time, with a blend of old Picture meets Vivian Campbell riffage; all-out classic Euro-Metal in its finest form.
