The Christmas pickle is a Christmas tradition in the United States. A decoration in the shape of a pickle is hidden on a Christmas tree, with the finder receiving either a reward or good fortune for the following year.

Asmall little pickle, funny too see
Hangingso softly in our Christmas tree!
Itreminds us to look really close all around
Andappreciate the things that always surround!
Sohang it at night on one special limb,
Amongall the lights, so bright, and trim-
Andeach day in life as we go about
Rememberthe pickle and not to doubt.
Weare loved and Heavenly Father is there
He isnot hidden, just call Him in prayer!
JesusChrist was born, our Savior, our friend!
